[ SUMMARY ] VI from BIGBANG - Seung-chan’s Perfect Victory Declaration 20120809

Hi there! I am back with a quick summary of the second installment of Seungri’s own TV show in Japan. In this episode, Seungri shows much more of his youthful charme ♥ So cute ♥

  • Summary of last weeks episode in which Seungri got himself the spot for his program by asking the Space Shower TV boss directly. See my summary [ here ].

  • As special treat from the staff, Seungri is getting coached by Io Kazuki, a variety show veteran with 22 years of experience.

  • Seungri is parodying a gag of him: “You sat down, right? You sat down, right? Right after sitting down - SHARON STONE.”

  • Io-san: “It’s really amazing that you already have your own show with 21 years… What did I do when I was 21? I applied for part-time work at the convenience store?”

  • Io-san: “In those 22 years, I saw many different shows and how many of my companions sold like crazy…” (XD Not speaking of himself here, huh?)

  • Seungri: “We will decide the title of this program!” Io-san: “Great! The way you are putting it sounds really like we will decide this today!”

  • Within one week, they received 2185 ideas for the title of the show. They read some of the suggestions.

  • [ Seungri’s Room ] (There is another variety show using [ OOO’s room ] as title, too.) Seungri: “Seungri’s room….? … What exactly do you want to see?! lol”

  • [ Seungri is going! ] Seungri: “Like… going somewhere?… Ahh…. That’s nice…” Io-san: “You are the type of person who shows every emotion on the face.” Seungri is laughing like adorbsjdnaksa! XD “Did it show? ^^;;;”

  • [ Seungri’s Road to Victory ] Seungri: “Oh…. Ok… It did show on the face.” Io-san: “It did.”

  • [ Seungchannel ] Seungri: “Oh! Using ’ channel ’ and ’ Seung-chan ’ and combine it to ’ Seungchannel ‘…! … Well….” Io-san: “Oh well, I am starting to get worried…”

  • [ Seungri’s Perfect Victory Declaration ] Seungri: “It’s a good title to show your passion!” “For example, if we do a challenge, and at the end you can say ’ We won! It’s our win! We are wild! ’ … Oh, that’s Sugi-chan’s gag…” Io-san: “You should ask Sugi-chan to come instead…!”

  • Io-san: “How about writing it there? Are you okay with Seungri?” Seungri: “Since Seungri is my real name, I kind of don’t like using it.” Io-san: “Don’t you have any nickname? For example from your high school days? A name that your friends and colleagues called you…?” Seungri: “Idiot!” (XDDDDDDDDDDDDD) Io-san: “Idiot?! XD … That’s great! Make it [ An idiot’s Perfect Victory Declaration ] !! Like saying ’ I am working hard now!! ‘…”

  • Io-san: “So, what are you gonna do?” Seungri: “Erm… I think ’ Seung-chan ’ is good. It makes it sound friendly.”

  • Seungri: “So, how about this? [ V.I. from BIGBANG - Seung-chan’s Perfect Victory Declaration! ]…!!!” And then, they gather Seungri’s writing on the white board to create the program icon in the corner… XD Seungri: “Ahhh, so coool!!!!”

  • Talking about the contents. In the end, Seungri is leaving it up to the viewers to send in suggestions about things they are curious about or would like to see him doing. Seungri: “BIGBANG always has a strong image of “artists”, but I would like to make everyone think: “What, they can even do this?!” …” Io-san: “This kid can do anything, so send everything you have!”

  • [ Let’s study the basics of Japanese variety! ] Io-san: “The very first thing that we need is the ’ CATCH ‘. You’ve heard about it, right? It’s about catching the audience’s heart. You know this from your concerts, right?” Seungri: “So, you mean that the first impression is the most important?” Io-san: “There are many different attempts, but you must definitely work with the camera.” Then, he demonstrates how to get up like an asparaguas.

  • Seungri: “Since BIGBANG has a rather cool image, I think something fancy would be good.” Seungri: “Please create it for me!” Io-san: “Well, let’s go with this. It only works for 3 people out of 100 though. But you should value the 3 people that you can catch with this.”

  • Io-san is doing it, but nobody is laughing. Seungri: “Excuse me, but this just now was really lame!”

  • Seungri: “How about this?” and then, he shoes this hilarious pose with the flying kiss while saying: “Is everyone doing fine?” XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Ridiculous! Io-san: “That’s great! Fashionable! I think you already cleared the ’ CATCH ’ part.

  • Io-san: “After the ’ CATCH ’ there comes the ’ TALK ‘. Seungri: “TALK? I also think that TALK is the most important!”

  • They decide to practice by throwing a dice with different topics and you have to talk about the topic that comes up. Io-san: “Do you have confidence in your talk skills?” Seungri: “I HAVE CONFIDENCE!!!!” (… Who is not surprised?! XD) Io-san: “This is not about dancing and singing… It’s about talking!” Seungri: “I HAVE CONFIDENCE!!! In Japan I am a talent, NOT AN ARTIST EHHHHH~~” (Basically, talents are people who just run around in variety shows doing silly things and an artist is someone who produces music or dances and sings. THE WAY HE IS SAYING THIS IS SUPER CUTE! It sounds like a little kid ♥)

  • Io-san: “So cool… I am jealous… about this confidence without hesitation.”

  • [ The first time I did OOO ] Seungri basically ask his teacher for an example to learn from. Io-san talks about how he always watched his seniors pay for the taxi fees and saying “Oh, you can keep the change.” so one day, he tried by himself. However, the taxi driver refused to take the change, saying “I won’t take it from you!” Seungri: “Was it since you still looked like you were poor!” Io-san: “Excatly!… … … Idiot! This was two years ago!!” (What Io-san is doing here is called “Nori-tsukkomi” and it means that you first give a confirming answer and “ride” the idea of the other party, just to call them idiot a second later and tell them how it really was. XD Japanese humor. XD)

  • [ I am obsessed with OOO ] Seungri: “Ah… A thing I am obsessed with…” Io-san: “Very good!” Seungri: “The reaction?” Io-san: “Yes! If you answer right away, the people will think ’ Oh, this person knew what he would be asked all along. ‘…” Seungri: “So, this… pondering… faked pondering is good?”

  • Seungri: “Seung-chan is recently obsessed with Sukiyaki. I love Sukiyaki! And usually, you put and egg into a bowl and stir it and then you put it over the meat, right? … The other day, we went to Europe, where they held a world famous award ceremony. And Lady Gaga also appeared there. And somehow, she did not really ride a car, but some weirdly shaped vehicle to get to other places. It did look like a super-sized egg! And she went inside that. ’ Uwah! So typical!! Lady Gaga is riding an egg!! ’ and then I thought.. ’ I want to eat. I want to eat Sukiyaki… ‘

  • Io-san: “FUNNY!!!!!” (LOLMAO, in between you think he is getting nowhere and then, it’s all about the vehicle being shaped like an egg. XDDDD Ridiculous!! And btw, the drawing shows Lady Gaga inside her egg vehicle at EMA … XDD I think I need to re-watch this.)

  • Io-san: “This was funny, but you totally ended up writing a picture… it’s funny though.” Seungri: “It is…?” Io-san: “It is! But see what it looks like! Let’s go learn how to draw a picture some day! This can’t happen again!” (XDDD I see similiarities between my favorite idols and I find it very amusing. XD)

  • Preview for next week’s episode. Seungri will learn more from Io-san about ’ REACTION ’ and they go to a sushi restaurant in Roppongi. They will play a game in which Seungri has to guess the price of the sushi he ate.

  • Seungri: “I think it’s about 150 JPY.” Io-san: “Oi! Stop making fun of Japan.” Seungri: “… T T”
